She was married to Barney Gober who preceded her in death and was retired after working many years for King's Dept. Store in Arab.

She was a member of Joppa United Methodist Church.

She is survived by Sister: Era Reynolds of Hanceville; Brother in law: John W. (Diane) Gober of Cullman; Nieces: LaRue (Paul) Carter of B'ham, Dolores Bailey of Baileyton and JoAnn Pittman of Arab; Nephews: Dr. Rick (Igeana) Gober of Cullman and Terry Gober of Lafayette, GA; Great Nieces and Nephews: Nick Bailey, Shane (Marteen) Bailey, Chris (Jennifer) Carter, Grant Carter, Heather (Rich) Rindfuss, Charles (Brenda) Chamblee, Andrea (Tracy) Kelly, Courtney Gober, O'neal Gober, Heather Gober and Autumn Gober

Funeral Service was Thurs. Sept. 8, 2011, at 11 AM at Gober Funeral Chapel with Jerald Harper officiating. Burial was in Brookwood Cemetery. Visitation was Wed. from 6-8 PM at Gober Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers were: Dr. Rick Gober, Nick Bailey, Shane Bailey, Luke Bailey, James Edmondson and Paul Carter.
