Mrs. Era Garrett Reynolds, Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great
Grandmother, passed from this life to her eternal home on Monday
November 14, 2011.
Born January 14, 1919, in Arab, AL she was a long time resident
of Baileyton and a member of Mt. Pisgah Presbyterian Church. She
was a graduate of Fairview High School and an employee of Blue Bell
for 35 years. She worked on into her seventies at King's Dry Goods
in Arab. She led a full life of work, family and travel. She was
known for her quiet sense of humor.
Preceded in death by her Husband of 51 years, O.V. "Bob"
Reynolds, Parents, Arthur and Plura Edmondson Garrett, Brothers,
Afton and Oneal Garrett and Sister, Annie Ruth Gober.
Mrs. Reynolds is survived by Daughters: LaRue (Paul "Sonny")
Carter of Birmingham and Dolores "Dee" Bailey of Baileyton;
Grandchildren: Nick Bailey, Shane T. (Marteen) Bailey, Chris
(Jennifer) Carter, Grant Carter and Heather Carter (Rev. Rich)
Rindfuss; Great Grandchildren: Luke, Gracie and Tess Bailey,
Samantha Rindfuss and Madeline Carter.
Visitation was Wed. Nov. 16, 2011, from 5 PM until 8 PM at Gober
Funeral Home in Arab. Funeral was in the Chapel of Gober Funeral
Home on Thurs. Nov. 17, at 1 PM with burial in the Brookwood
Cemetery. Revs. Terry Blankenship and Rich Rindfuss will officiate.
Pallbearers were: Nick Bailey, Shane T. Bailey, Luke Bailey, Chris
Carter, Grant Carter and Paul "Sonny" Carter.
