Mr. Maurice Black age 68 of Plano, TX and formerly of Arab
passed away Thurs. Jan. 19, 2012.
Mr. Black was born on March 14, 1943, in Union Grove, AL to
Harvey Pink and Lula Narrel Black. On Aug. 26, 1966 he married
Martha Chisam in Huntsville.
He loved playing golf, eating seafood and spending time at Gulf
Shores. He had a wide circle of friends with whom he enjoyed
playing golf and telling stories.
He is survived by his Wife: Martha Black of Plano, TX;
Daughters: Susan (Steve) Jones of Dallas, TX and Kasie (Charles)
Hardy of Nashville, TN; Grandson: Charlie Hardy of Nashville, TN;
Sisters: Willsie Black and Sarah Ferguson of Birmingham; Niece:
Donna (Mike) Camp of Arab; Nephews: Mike Huggins and Tom Huggins of
Arab; Many other loving family members and friends. Preceded in
death by a Sister: Betty Huggins; Brother: Charles Dale Black;
Brother in law: Stanley Ferguson and a Nephew: Steve Huggins.
A Memorial Service was held Sat. Feb. 4, 2012, at 2 PM at Gober
Funeral Chapel in Arab, AL with Arthur Feemster officiating.
