Billy James Hyatt Sr Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Billy James Hyatt, Sr. 80 of Arab passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at his residence. Bill was born May 6, 1942, in Blount County the youngest child of Gaines Wesley Hyatt and Ora Emma Graham Hyatt. He was a graduate of Arab High School Class of 1960, shortly after graduation he enlisted in the US Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1964, later he joined the Army National Guards, retiring after a total of 23 years. He was also a retired custodian for the Arab City School System, had a passion for singing and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. He is survived by his Children: Jacquline Reyes (Chris), Billy Hyatt (Terri), Mike Hyatt and Dan Hyatt (LeAnn), Grandchildren: Drew, Crispin, Tia, Alexandra, Abbagail, Soren, Paul, Joe and Ella, Sister: Hellen Chenault. Host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Gaines and Ora Hyatt, Sisters: Wynell Segreti, Willodean Turner Weaver and Lydia Guthrie. Funeral Service will be 4:00 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Corinth Baptist Church with Brother Buddy Puryear officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Corinth Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel, directing. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Corinth Baptist Church.
