Dean Cobb, age 80, of Arab passed away Friday Feb. 1, 2019, at her residence. Mrs. Cobb was born on Feb. 3, 1938, in Cullman County, AL the Daughter of Charles and Maude Latham Widner. She was married to James Cobb who preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 2011. She was also preceded by her Parents, Charles and Maude Widner; 4 Sisters and 1 Brother. Mrs. Cobb worked as a seamstress at the Arab Sewing Center for many years and in retirement made quilts in her home. She is survived by her Son: Allen Cobb of Arab; Daughters: Leesa Murphree, Renae Webb and Jenny Smith (Phillip Sims) all of Arab; Sisters: Shirley Lands of Arab; 11 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday Feb. 4, 2019, at 6 PM at Gober Funeral Chapel with Michael King officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 PM until time of service.
