Joseph Carlton “Joe” Johnson, Sr. age 76, of Arab passed away Wed. April 8, 2020, at his residence. Joe was born on Jan. 20, 1944, in Chattanooga, TN, the Son of Edwin Eugene and Lillian C. Travis Johnson. He drove a truck for most of his career and later worked for Dixie Grinders. He is survived by his Wife: Connie Jo Ann Johnson of Arab; Son: Joseph C. (Barbara Jean) Johnson, Jr. of Fyffe, AL; Daughter: Joette C. (Larry) Rutledge of Arab; Sisters: Betty (Tom) Miller of Guntersville, Polly Bearden of Riverside, CA, Connie Smith of Huntsville and Margaret Faye Hoffman of Langston, AL; 5 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandson. The family chose cremation arrangements and will announce the date for a Celebration of Life Service later. Gober Funeral Chapel assisted the family.
