Lillian "Kitten" Snow
October 10, 1921 - September 13, 2019
Lillian “Kitten” Snow, 97 of Arab died Friday, September 13, 2019 in Hospice Family Care, Huntsville. Miss Snow was born October 10, 1921, the daughter of John, Jr. and Ulma Baker Snow. She grew up in the Snow Point Community and remembers when, for the very first time, TVA turned the lights on at Guntersville Dam. She and her family moved away from the Snow Point Community in the late 1930’s or early 1940’s to her present home in Arab. She was a wonderful cook, preparing her cakes, baked goodies, sweet treats and delicious home cooked dinners from scratch, which made her famous with all her neighbors, friends and family. She enjoyed working in her garden and flowers and for a time had worked at what used to be Daniel’s Nursery on the old Guntersville Road. She was a long-time member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church and attended regularly until her health would not permit. She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews all of whom “Kitten” referred to as her children.
