Sarah Phillips Claburn, 85 of Arab died Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at her residence. Mrs. Claburn was born in Alabama December 26, 1936, the daughter of Alfred and Annie Shedd Phillips. She was a member of Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church and had worked at Chrysler Corporation before her retirement. Sarah is survived by two Sons and Daughters-In-Law: Tim and Pam Parrish and Ted and Cyndi Williams; a Daughter and Son-In-Law: Anita and Ronnie McCormick; five Grandchildren and Spouses: Daniel (Ashley), Aaron, Anna (Neal), Abigail and Andrew; six Great Grandchildren: Beatrice, Damien, John Gabriel, James, Reece and Reigen; a Sister: Cinda Mayo; several Other Family Members and Many Dear Friends; Preceded in Death by: a Daughter: Kimberly Claburn and a Great Grandson: Dominic. Funeral Service was held 1:00 p.m. Saturday January 29, 2022, at Gober Funeral Chapel with Brother Gary Harvell, officiating. Graveside Committal Service was held at 2:30 p.m. in Union Grove Cemetery near Holly Pond in Cullman County, Gober Funeral Chapel, directing. Pallbearers will be Aaron Parrish, Andrew Parrish, Daniel McCormick, Patrick Leak, Greg Wright and Neal Beard. Visitation was from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
