Victoria Amy Hamel

November 5, 1929 - February 16, 2022

Victoria Amy Hamel, 92, from Arab, Alabama went to be with The Lord on February 16, 2022, peacefully surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She spent her life loving and caring for others and helping any and all those who had needs. She gave of herself freely always caring for others before herself. No one could feed the dogs like her, and she loved all the animals, but, especially her cat, Mandy! She worked as a CNA over 20 years at Holmes Regional Medical Center, hospital, in Melbourne Florida with most of the time spent in the nursery loving, caring, and rocking the children, as well as their mothers, in her charge. As an army wife, while pregnant, she traveled with her five other children all under 12 years old to Europe to meet up with her husband who was already at his station in Germany. A strong mighty woman of God! She is survived by her children Patti IHeart Bucci (husband Brian), Wendy Blain (husband John), Sheri Hamel, Teri Hamel (husband Matt), Honorary son Bill Wigton, as well as 14 grandchildren, their spouses and 19 great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband, Retired Major Richard Joseph Hamel, her son Robert (Bobby) Hamel, son Glenn Dale Hamel and grandson Jon. She will be greatly missed however we are all grateful she is with the Lord! The family chose cremation with no formal service. Gober Funeral Chapel assisted the Hamel family with cremation arrangements.
