July 10, 1933 - September 26, 2019

Edith Virginia Madden Guger, 86 of Guntersville died Thursday, September 26, 2019 in Marshall Medical Center North. Mrs. Guger was born July 10, 1933 in Blount County, Alabama, the daughter of Jeff and Evolee McWhorter Madden. She was a Homemaker, enjoyed flower gardening and loved to take care of her family, cooking many wonderful meals from the produce grown in her garden. She was the 2nd oldest member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church where she attended regularly until her health prevented her from going. She is survived by her Husband: Thomas C. “Bud” Guger of Guntersville; her Children and Spouses: Randy Bannister of Arab, Barry and Wendy Bannister of Holly Pond, Jeffrey and Deidra Bannister of Arab, David and Rhonda Guger of Arab and Sherry Blackmon also of Arab; eleven Grandchildren, fourteen Great Grandchildren; a Brother: Daldon Madden of Guntersville; several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Other Family Members, her Church Family and Many Dear Friends and Neighbors; Preceded In Death by her first Husband: Dalton Bannister, her Parents, a Brother and a Sister. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 30, 2019 at Gober Funeral Chapel, Brother Ennis Stone and Brother Greg Stone, officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel, directing. Pallbearers will be Drake Bannister, Michael Blackmon, Jason Guger, Eddie Madden, Steve Madden and Bentley Isom. Mike Baird and Jason Clay will serve as Alternate Pallbearers. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Gober Funeral Chapel.
