Johnny Larry Leak

A lifelong resident of Arab, Johnny Larry Leak, passed away on September 27, 2018. He was born on January 8, 1947 to Junior and Betty Leak. He graduated from Arab High School in 1965 and attended Jacksonville State University. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He worked at Eaton Corporation for many years and retired from Custom Impressions. He loved Alabama football and Braves baseball. He was an avid reader, an excellent cook and enjoyed working on hot rods and driving fast cars in his younger days. He is survived by his son Shannon ( Beth) and his granddaughter Bailey and chosen grandchildren Addison, Coplin, Luke and Mary Beck. His brother Benny ( Laura). His aunts Dorothy Hollaway and Annette Reece and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Dewayne Hollaway, Stacy Hollaway, Larry Hollaway, Rodney Reece, Rickey Leak and Jeff Leak. Visitation will be at Gober Funeral Home in Arab with service to follow. Brother Frank Whitaker will officiate. Burial will be at Gilliam Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully ask that you consider a donation to The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society or charity of your choice.
